Privacy policy

SEOCrawler.ai crawls websites, scores 53 checks and (with a paid package) writes AI advice. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, for how long, and your rights.

1. Who is responsible

The controller is the operator of SEOCrawler.ai (onderdeel van pimvdmolen.nl).

2. What we process

Account

When you sign up: name, email, hashed password, language, timezone. Later you may add company name or phone. We store whether the email is verified.

Websites and scans

URLs you add, crawl status, scores per check, short reasons on a low score, HTTP status, content hash and word count. We fetch HTML to measure it. We do not keep a full copy of your site. We keep the measurements.

A free trial report is once per domain, up to 50 pages. A paid crawl up to 500 pages. The same site again by hand: after 4 hours.

AI advice

With an active paid package we send the weakest checks (score under 80, up to eight items) to Anthropic (Claude). That is scores, check names and short reasons, not passwords and not the full site. Advice is stored on the report. You see it in the portal or on a share link, not in the PDF.

Reports and alerts

Reports, PDFs, share links (a secret token: anyone with the link can open the report), monitoring rules and the email addresses you set for them.

Payment and invoices

Payment goes through Mollie (iDEAL, Bancontact, card and more). Mollie processes your payment details. We store payment reference, amount, status and the invoice. Prices include 21% VAT. We keep invoices for bookkeeping.

Contact form

Name, email, message, IP address and browser data. Cloudflare Turnstile checks you are not a robot.

Technical

A session cookie to keep you logged in, CSRF protection, optional “remember me”. Cloudflare Turnstile on some forms.

On production we measure visits with Matomo, on our own infrastructure. No Google Analytics, no ad networks, we do not sell that data. Matomo sees which page you open, how you got there, device or browser, and a shortened IP. No names, no link to your account, no third-party tracking cookies.

3. Why, and on what basis

Contract: account, scans, reports, AI advice, monitoring, support.
Legal duty: invoices and payment records.
Legitimate interest: security, abuse, Turnstile, logs, blocking a repeat free trial on the same domain, and visit stats via Matomo to improve the site. You can object to Matomo via the contact form or [email protected].
Consent: only where the law asks for it. No marketing cookies, no ad networks.

You can read the marketing pages without an account. Scans need one.

4. Who we share with

We do not sell your data.

Mollie B.V. (Netherlands / EEA): payments.
Anthropic (United States): AI advice from check scores. That is a transfer outside the EEA. Anthropic uses contractual safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
Cloudflare: Turnstile on register and contact.
Hosting, mail and backups: only what we need to run the service.
Matomo: runs with us. No hand-off to an ad company.

Staff at SEOCrawler.ai (onderdeel van pimvdmolen.nl) can see accounts to handle support and abuse.

5. How long we keep it

Account: while it exists.
Unverified accounts with no payment: gone after 7 days.
Crawl and report data: about 365 days, unless the account is removed sooner.
Invoices and payments: seven years (Dutch tax rules).
Contact messages: as long as the conversation needs, then delete or anonymise.
Visit stats (Matomo): about 13 months, then delete or keep totals only.

If you delete the account (Settings): websites, crawls and reports go. Name and email are anonymised. Remaining scan time is not refunded. Invoices stay. The claim that a domain already used the free trial stays, so that trial cannot run again.

6. Your rights

You can access, correct, erase, restrict, object and port your data, within the law. We never return passwords, only reset them.

Profile and password: portal, Settings.
Delete account: Settings, with your password.
Anything else: contact form or [email protected].

You may complain to the Dutch DPA (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or your local authority.

7. Cookies

Functional:

session (stay logged in);
CSRF (protect forms);
optional “remember me”;
Cloudflare Turnstile on some forms.

Matomo measures without cookies, with a shortened IP, on our own domain. No marketing cookies, no ad networks. That is why there is no cookie banner for ads.

8. Crawling sites

You add the URLs. You must be allowed to scan that site (yours, or with permission). We act as a crawler: we respect robots.txt where the checks require it, and we do not store that site’s passwords.

A share link is a secret address. Only give it to people who may see the report.

9. Children

The service is for professionals. We do not target children under 16.

10. Changes

If this policy changes in a material way, we update the date at the top. Using the service after that date means you have seen the new text. For a large change we email the address on your account.
