On-page

Meta description

Checks if a meta description is present with the correct length.

Why does this matter?

The meta description appears as descriptive text below the title in search results. Although not a direct ranking factor, a good description significantly increases click-through rate (CTR).

How to fix it?

Add a unique meta description of 120-160 characters. Include your focus keyword and end with a call-to-action. Write it for the visitor, not for Google.

This check scores from 0 to 100. Below 50 is a fail, 50 to 89 is a warning, 90 or above is good. After each crawl you see the score per page in your report, with a short note on what we found.
